Lynx Padded Fauld (Fighting Skirt)
"Fauld" is a plate armor term for apron-style horizontal lames below the breastplate. Our fauld is padded 350N fabric for both piercing and blunt force protection.
The heavy plastic clip assembly is much more secure than the metal rings that Spes uses on their fighting skirt.
Our standard size covers most adults, with an XL option for waists above 49", and a S option that will fit most children ages 7+.
Standard: waist size 32"-49"
XL: waist size 40"-58" S: 25"-40"
As with other lynx fabric protection, custom colors are available.
Lynx Padded Rapier Gloves
These are popular as "rapier" gloves but they work well as light protection and grip assistance for longswords, knife trainers, and other weapons.
Lynx Simple Knees
HALF PRICE NOTE! Lynx Knees -- both the Simple Knees and the Side-Wrap Knees -- are HALF PRICE if purchased with Lynx pants. The discount will apply automatically if both are in your cart. These Lynx Simple Knees have a strong, contoured plastic shield ("poleyn" to the cool kids) and a comfortable padded lining sewn in. Attachment is by a hook-and-loop strap around the back of the knee and a tie above. They can also be inserted inside the knee-pockets of Lynx Fighting Pants with knee pockets.
Comparison to the Lynx Side-Wrap Knees:
The side-wrap knees have superior side protection, but the simple knees are not without side protection. The simple knees have a good curve and will protect against most side strikes on most people. The side-wrap knees will not fit inside knee-pockets and can only be worn on the outside.
Lynx Tournament Gloves (Short Cuff)
The fingers are split 2x2, and the thumb can be tied on to different pairs of grommets to allow for further size adjustment. The wrist is really excellent once the cuff has been worked in for about 20 minutes. The wrist plates are sewn so that they can slide and adjust, but cannot de-overlap.
